만경강 상류 원삼국~삼국시대 주거지 출토 토기의 특징과 지역성

국문 초록

이 글에서는 원삼국~삼국시대 만경강 상류 주거지 출토 토기 자료를 검토하고 그 특징을 통해 지역성을 추출하고자 하였다. 그 결과 주요 기종의 속성변화를 파악할 수 있었고, 소수 기종을 통해서는 만경강 상류 일대가 하나의 문화권임을 알 수 있었다. 먼저 만경강 상류 주거지 출토 주요 기종은 2단계에 걸쳐 속성변화가 나타난다. Ⅰ단계(2세기대~4세기 중반)에는 기존의 경질무문토기와 함께 타날기술에 의한 일상 용기가 본격적으로 생산·사용되었으며, Ⅱ단계(4세기 후반~말·6세기 초)가 되면 신기종 등의 유입으로 기형 및 문양 등에 변화가 발생한다. 후자의 신기종은 백제의 영토 확장과정에서 유입된 것으로 이해되는데, 이와 같은 정치·사회적 변화는 만경강 상류의 물질문화에 영향을 준 것으로 이해된다. 다음으로 취사 용기인 발은 원삼국시대에 넓은 분포권을 갖는 기종이지만, 초대형으로 분류되는 발이 만경강 상류에 집중하는 양상은 토기의 생산과 수급이 일정 권역을 중심으로 이루어졌음을 말해준다. 직구장경평저호는 지역 정치체의 범위를 가시적으로 보여 주며, 이들 토기와 공반하는 초대형의 발, 견부에 돌기가 부착된 원저단경호, 대옹의 조합양상 역시 동일 토기 문화를 공유한 사회가 하나의 문화권이었음을 뒷받침해 주고 있다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to review the materials of pottery excavated from the upper residential area of the Mangyeong River during the Proto-Three Kingdoms period and figure out regional characteristics through their characteristics. According to the results of the study, there were changes in the properties of major pottery types, and the upper region of the Mangyeong River was found to be a cultural area through minority pottery types. First, the major pottery types excavated from the upper residential area of the Mangyeong River show changes in properties over two stages. In Phase I (2nd century to mid-4th century), everyday pottery using tanal (beating technique) were produced and used in earnest together with existing hard plain pottery. In Phase II (late 4th century to the end of the 5th century), there were changes in pottery shapes and patterns with the introduction of new pottery types. The latter new types are regarded to have been introduced during Baekje's territorial expansion, and such political and social changes are considered to have influenced the material culture of the upper region of the Mangyeong River. Next, cooking ware, bowl, is a type that had a wide distribution area during the Proto-Three Kingdoms period, but the production and supply of a very large-sized bowl type was concentrated around a certain area in the upper region of the Mangyeong River. Jikgujanggyeongpyeongjeo-ho and Gwanggudaebu-ho visually show the scope of the local political body. In additiuon, a combination of very large bowls, Wonjeodangyeong-ho (short-necked jar with round bottom) where projections were attached on its shoulder, and daeong (large Jar) supports the fact that the society sharing the same pottery culture was one cultural area.
