18세기 후반~19세기 전반 水原別路 구간과 綿布의 유통

국문 초록

수원별로의 노정은 한성-시흥-안양-사근-화성 노정을 근간으로 하였다. 해당 노정은 사근-화성 구간①과 시흥-안양 구간②로 분류되었다. 구간①은 17세기부터 통행이 확인되었고, 18세기 중엽에는 통행량이 많은 도로로 활용되었다. 18세기 말 조정에서는 구간①이 관통하는 지점에 수원 신읍치의 목포전을 개설하여 삼남 지역의 면포를 취합하게 하였다. 아울러 조정에서는 삼남 지역의 대동포목 역시 수원 신읍치를 경유하게 하였다. 이후 구간①에서는 수원 신읍치 읍내장의 분화가 이루어졌고, 그곳에서 면포 거래가 활발하였다. 한편 구간②는 구간①에서 물류가 확대하는 과정에서 발참이 설치되고, 도로 폭이 확장되었다. 이후 구간②에서는 안양참 재원 마련을 위해서 군포천장이 안양장으로 이동하고, 군포천장 자리에 군포장이 재설치되었다. 복원된 군포장에서는 면포 유통이 활발하였다. 수원별로에서는 민의 도로 활용에 대한 관의 추인을 토대로 면포 유통이 활발히 이루어지게 되었다.

영문 초록

The route of the Suwonbyeollo was based on the Hanseong- Siheung-Anyang-Sageun-Hwaseong route. This route was divided into two sections: Section ① (Sageun to Hwaseong) and Section ② (Siheung to Anyang). Section ① had confirmed traffic as early as the 17th century, and by the mid-18th century, it was utilized as a major thoroughfare with significant traffic. In the late 18th century, the government established the Mokpo-jeon at Suwon’s new town, through which cotton fabrics from the Samnam region were gathered. Additionally, the government routed the tax grain from the Samnam region through Suwon’s new town. Subsequently, Section ① saw the development of a local market in Suwon’s new town, where active trading of cotton fabrics took place. Meanwhile, in Section ②, as logistics expanded from Section ①, a Balcham was established, and the road width was expanded. Later, to secure funds for Anyang-cham, Gunpocheon-jang was relocated to Anyang-jang, and Gunpo-jang was re-established at the original site of Gunpocheon-jang. At the restored Gunpo-jang market, the distribution of cotton fabrics was also active. These developments reflect the approval process by the government regarding the economic activities of the people and the changes in logistics that were carried out under its influence.
