국문 초록

연구목적: 예비교수자가 작성한 교육철학 에세이에 나타난 좋은 수업의 핵심 키워드를 도출하고, 예 비교수자가 인식하는 대학의 좋은 수업의 특성을 탐색하는 것이다. 연구방법: 예비교수자가 작성한 총 142부의 교육철학 에세이 내용을 LDA(Latent Dirichlet Allocation) 토픽 모델링 분석기법을 적용하여 분석하였으며, 5개 토픽을 최종적으로 도출하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 대학의 좋은 수업의 핵심 키워드는 ‘사람’, ‘질문’, ‘준비’등이 다수 등장하였다. 둘째, 대학의 좋은 수업의 특성은 ‘다양한 방식으로 학습자의 참여 유도, 지속적인 학습 점검을 통해 학업 성취 촉진, 전공 분야에 대한 전문성 함양 지원, 상호 신뢰를 바탕으로 안전한 학습 환경 제공, 활발 한 소통과 상호작용 유도’의 5개 토픽으로 나타났다. 학술적 기여: 본 연구는 예비교수자가 작성한 교육철학 내용을 바탕으로 토픽 모델링을 활용하여 대 학의 좋은 수업에 대한 하나의 기준이자 방향성을 제시하였으며, 좋은 수업을 위한 설계와 운영에 대한 교육적 시사점을 제공하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The study aims to identify the core keywords of ‘good instruction’ as perceived by prospective professors and to explore the the characteristics of ‘good instruction’. A total of 142 teaching philosophy essays were collected from the prospective professors and analyzed using the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling method, resulting in the identification of five main topics. First, the core keywords frequently appearing in good instruction included ‘people’, ‘questions’, and ‘preparation’. Second, the characteristics of good instruction were categorized into five topics: encouraging learner participation through diverse methods, promoting academic achievement through continuous monitoring of learning, supporting the development of expertise in the major field, providing a safe learning environment based on mutual trust, and fostering active communication and interaction. This study is significant as it provides a framework and direction for what constitutes good instruction in higher education based on the teaching philosophies of prospective professors. It also offers practical implications for design and implementation of good instruction.
