네트워크 분석을 활용한 소부장산업 활성화 방안 연구 - 창원시 기업간 거래 데이터를 중심으로

국문 초록

소재·부품·장비(이하 ‘소부장’)산업은 제조업 경쟁력을 결정 짓는 핵심 요소이다. 창원은 소부장특화단지로 선정되는 등 가치사슬 완결형 소부장 클러스터로 성장 가능성을 인정받았다. 그러나 산업환경에 능동적으로 대응하지 못하면서 산업뿐만 아니라 지역경제 활력을 감소시키고 있다. 본 연구는 한국평가데이터(주)에서 제공하는 정보를 활용하여 창원시 소부장업체를 중심으로 지역, 산업, 기업간 거래 네트워크 분석을 수행하였다. 산업간 거래 네트워크에서는 지역의 주력산업인 자동차 부품, 전자부품, 선박 부품, 금속가공 등의 산업이 중심에 있는 것으로 나타나, 소부장산업 중에서도 부품산업을 중심으로 산업이 이루어져 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 지역 대기업의 네트워크 중심성 지수가 높게 나타나 지역에 위치한 대기업을 중심으로 한 하청형 구조로 거래 네트워크를 형성하고 있는 것이 확인되었다. 아울러 대기업과 거래하는 몇 기업을 제외하고는 하위 공급망에서 거래가 이루어지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 창원의 소부장산업 활성화를 위해서는 대기업 하청구조에서 벗어나 자력으로 중소기업이 성장할 수 있는 환경을 조성하고 거래 다변화, 신사업 확장 등 중소기업 체질 개선을 위한 정책이 필요하다. 또한 신사업에 즉각 대응할 수 있는 인력을 양성할 수 있는 시스템을 구축하고 산업 네트워크를 관외로 확장함으로써 지역 소부장산업이 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The materials, parts, and equipment industry(MPE) is crucial elements determining the competitiveness of the manufacturing sector. Recognized as a specialized cluster for MPEs, Changwon has been selected as a specialized cluster, acknowledging its potential for growth as a value chain-integrated MPE cluster. However, failing to actively adapt to the industrial environment is not only affecting the industry itself but also diminishing the vitality of the regional economy. This study analyzed transaction networks among regional industries, focusing on MPEs in Changwon City, utilizing 40,000 transaction records from the Busan-Gyeongnam region provided by Korea Evaluation Data Co., Ltd. Findings indicate that key industries such as automotive parts, electronics, ship parts, and metal processing dominate inter-industry transactions, particularly centered around the parts industry within MPEs. The study reveals a subcontracting network structure revolving around large local corporations in Changwon, with most transactions occurring within lower tiers of the supply chain. Policy interventions are necessary to foster an environment for MPEs to grow independently, diversify transactions, and expand into new businesses, ultimately enhancing regional competitiveness. Efforts should include talent development for agile responses to new business opportunities and expanding regional industrial networks for MPEs to thrive.
