국문 초록

글로벌시장 진출은 증권사들에 새로운 도전과 성장을 위한 전략적인 결정의 핵심이다. 최근에는 수익 다각화를 통해 해외법인을 글로벌 투자 은행의 전초기지로 활용하는 움직임이 두드러지고 있다. 아시아를 넘어 미국과 유럽 등 다양한 지역에도 법인을 설립하고 현지 증권사 인수에 적극적으로 나서는 추세이다. 본 연구는 미래에셋증권의 글로벌시장 진출 전략을 분석하고, 경제적 불확실성 속에서 지속가능한 성장을 위한 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 미래에셋증권의 사례를 중심으로, 혁신적인 해외투자 전략과 그로부터 얻은 글로벌 투자 성과를 메커니즘적인 관점에서 분석하며, SER-M 모델을 활용하여 주체, 환경, 자원을 중심으로 경영 전략을 분석하였다. 미래에셋증권의 성공 요인인 '선(先)운용, 후(後)증권' 전략, 철저한 현지화 전략, 원가 우위, 차별화, 집중화 전략을 도출하고, 국내 증권사들의 글로벌경쟁력 강화를 위한 전략적 방향성을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 국내 증권사들의 글로벌시장 전략 개발에 중요한 기초 자료를 제공하며, 국가 경제의 지속 가능한 성장에 기여할 방안을 모색한다. 이를 통해 국내 증권사들이 글로벌시장에서 높은 경쟁력을 확보하고 지속적인 성장을 이룰 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

Global market expansion is pivotal for securities firms as a strategic decision for new challenges and growth. There is a noticeable trend of utilizing overseas subsidiaries as forward bases for global investment banking through revenue diversification. This trend extends beyond Asia to establishing subsidiaries and actively acquiring local securities firms in various regions, including the United States and Europe. This study analyzes Mirae Asset Securities' global market entry strategy and proposes ways for sustainable growth amidst economic uncertainties. Centering on Mirae Asset Securities' case, the study examines innovative overseas investment strategies and the resulting global investment performance from a mechanistic perspective, employing the SER-M model to analyze the management strategies around entities, environments, and resources. The study identifies Mirae Asset Securities' success factors, such as the 'Investment-first, Securities-later' strategy, thorough localization strategy, cost leadership, differentiation, and concentration strategy, and suggests strategic directions for enhancing the global competitiveness of domestic securities firms. This research provides essential foundational data for the development of global market strategies for domestic securities firms and explores ways to contribute to the sustainable growth of the national economy. It is anticipated that this will enable domestic securities firms to secure high competitiveness in the global market and achieve continuous growth.
