국문 초록

본 연구는 융합의 의미와 방법에 대해 대학생들이 어떻게 인식하고 있는지를 살펴봄으로써 대학 융합교육과정 개발 및 운영에 함의를 도출하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 분석 대상은 설문에 응답한 A대학의 학부생 142명의 응답이다. 연구문제는 첫째, 학생들의 융합교육의 필요성에 대한 인식과 경험은 어떠한가, 둘째, 학생들은 융합을 무엇이라고 인식하고 어떠한 융합방법이 적절하다고 인식하는가, 셋째, 학생들은 융합교육의 장애요인이 무엇이라고 인식하는가이다. 그리고 이러한 인식들에 전공 및 학년에 따라 차이가 있는지를 SPSS 27 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도분석과 평균 비교 분석, 교차분석하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, A대학 학생들은 융합교육이 필요하다고 인식하고 있었으나 융합교육의 경험은 없다는 응답이 많았다. 둘째, 융합의 수렴주의적 의미가 적절하다고 인식하고 있었고, 유사한 학문 분야 간 융합과 여러 학과의 교육내용을 융합한 교육이 적절하다고 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 융합교육의 장애요인이 학과로 구분된 전통적인 대학 구조라고 인식하는 경우가 많았다. 이에 대해 전공이나 학년별 차이는 대체로 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 이를 기반으로 A대학의 융합교육과정 개발 및 운영에 대한 시사점을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to explore how university students perceive the meaning and methods of convergence, in order to derive implications for the development and operation of university convergence curriculum. The analysis targeted responses from 142 undergraduate students at A University. The research questions addressed: first, what is the perception and experience of students regarding the need for convergence education, how students perceive convergence and what convergence methods they consider appropriate; and third, what obstacles to convergence education students perceive. These were analyzed using SPSS 27 through frequency analysis, mean comparison analysis, and cross-tabulation. The results showed that A University students recognized the need for convergence education but lacked experience in it. They perceived a convergentism meaning as appropriate and considered education that integrates similar academic disciplines and various departmental curricula as suitable. Many students perceived the traditional university structure divided by departments as a major obstacle to convergence education. there were generally no significant differences based on major or year of study. Based on these findings, the study proposed implications for the development and operation of convergence education programs at A University.
