「唐无染禪院碑」잔편 소개와 新羅人 金淸의 활동 의의

국문 초록

无染禪院은 산동반도 동단 昆嵛山 남쪽 기슭 무염사풍경구에 소재한 사찰이다. 무염선원에는 唐 光 化4년(901)에 세운 「唐无染禪院碑」가 있었다. 근자 무염원 일대에 군영이 생겼을 때 「唐无染禪院碑」가 파괴되었지만, 다행히도 최근에 파괴된 「당무염선원비」를 보완해 줄 유물 두 종이 나왔다. 하나는 중국 국가도서관에 소장된 탁본 「당무염선원비」이다. 탁본 「당무염선원비」는 기존 문헌 기록을 보완할 수 있는 비명과 비음기(측면과 후면)가 포함되어 있어 자료 가치가 매우 높다. 다른 하나는 무염선원 유지에서 발견된 원 비석 「당무염선원비」에서 쪼개진 잔석이다. 현재 발견된 잔석은 모두 5편이다. 「당무염선원비」에는 신라 국적을 가진 押衙 金淸의 활약상을 엿볼 수 있는 기록이 수록되어 있다. 김청은 張保皐의 후예답게 신라인이 형성해놓은 산동-절동-한반도로 잇는 해상 네트워크를 십분 활용하여 물자 교역으로 커다란 부를 축적했다. 무염선원은 적산 법화원과 더불어 나·당 양국 우호교류를 상징하는 사찰이다. 무염선원 중창 역사에 나·당 양국의 지역 수장과 유력자가 참여했다. 최근 무염선원이 무염사풍경구 안에 조그만 규모로 새로 중건되었다가, 아쉽게도 불과 몇 년 만에 다시 폐쇄되었다. 앞으로 조만간에 국내외 관계자들이 다 같이 힘을 보태어 무염선원이 예전의 활기찬 모습을 되찾고 「당무염선원비」가 복원되어 다시 세워지기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

Temple of Wuran is located at the southern foot of Kunyu Mountains(昆嵛山), East of Shandong(山東) Peninsula. There was a tombstone established in 901 in Temple of Wuran. The tombstone was destroyed recently when a military camp was built nearby. Fortunately, two artifacts which would supplement the disappeared tombstone were excavated there. The one is a rubbed copy of the tombstone in possession of the National Library of China. The value of the rubbed copy of the tombstone as materials is high in that it includes an epitaph which can complement existing documentary records. The other is a broken pieces of the tombstone found in the ruins of Temple of Wuran. The total number of the pieces are five. The tombstone include a record which shows the activity of Kim Cheong with Silla nationality. Kim Cheong accumulated wealth through trade taking the advantage of maritime network linking Shangdong, Eastern Zhejiang(Zhedong: 浙東) and Korea, which was formed by Silla Koreans. Temple of Wuran is a temple symbolizing the exchange of friendship between Silla and Tang China. The local readers and men of power in the two nations took part in the rebuilding of the temple. Recently, Temple of Wuran was newly rebuilt in small scale in the Scenic District of Temple of Wuran. I expect that Temple of Wuran will recover its former lively look and the tombstone to be reerected.
