국문 초록

이 글은 영화 <매염방>이 홍콩 영화계의 대표적 스타였던 매염방이라는 전기적 인물과 그녀가 살아갔던 시대 및 홍콩의 문화적 환경을 어떻게 묘사했는지를 분석한 것으로 영화가 매염방과 홍콩의 아우라를 어떠한 형식을 통해 재현했는지를 중점적으로 고찰했다. 영화 <매염방>은 ‘거대한 플래시백’ 속에 당시 홍콩 영화산업 내의 주요 인사들을 비롯해 배우 장국영, 언니 매애방과 같은 부차적 인물들을 등장시킨다. 이들은 그저 주인공 매염방의 정체성을 추적하기 위해 재구성된 주변적 인물이 아니라 당시 홍콩(영화)의 환경에 관한 중요한 맥락과 상징을 이룬다. 이러한 영화 <매염방>의 역사>전기 영화로서의 미학적 실험 전략은 그다지 가시적이지 않다. 그러나 이 영화는 과거의 시간을 재해석하며 상실된 혹은 현실에는 부재한 공통의 담론 기반을 형성하는 포스트 메모리의 콘텐츠로 기능할 가능성을 지니며 특정한 홍콩(영화)의 시간성을 전승하려는 정서를 일구어내고 지금 홍콩의 정치적 의제에 대한 사유로 대중을 이끈다.

영문 초록

This article analyzes how the film Anita describes a biographical character named Anita, a representative star in Hong Kong’s film industry, the era in which she lived, and the cultural environment of Hong Kong. Therefore, I focused on the format in which the film was reproduced to reproduce Anita and Hong Kong’s aura. “Anita” features important figures in the Hong Kong film industry, as well as secondary characters such as actress Leslie Jang and her sister in “The Giant Flashback.” They are not just reconstructed as peripheral characters surrounding the protagonist, but form an important context and symbol of the environment of Hong Kong(film) at the time. The aesthetic experimentation as a biopic of the history of “Anita” is not noticeably strong. This film reinterprets the time of the past, functions as a content of post-memory that forms a common discourse base that is lost or absent in reality, creates sentiment to transmit the temporality of a specific Hong Kong(film), and now drives the public to think about Hong Kong’s political agenda.
