암보험 보험금 지급에 영향을 미치는 보험계약 특성에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 국내 생명보험회사의 암진단 담보 보험계약 및 보험금 지급 자료를 활용하여 암진단 보험사고의 발생에 영향을 미치는 보험계약의 특성을 분석하고, 암보험상품 해당 여부가 암진단 보험사고 발생에 유의적인 조절효과가 있는지를 분석하는데 있다. 로지스틱 모형을 이용한 분석 결과, 성별, 계약연령, 국내사여부, 대면판매여부, 암보험여부 등의 독립변수가 암진단 보험사고 발생에 유의적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 위계적 로지스틱 모형을 이용하여 암보험상품의 조절효과를 분석한 결과, 독립변수중 계약연령, 대면판매여부 등에서는 유의적인 정의 조절효과가, 국내사여부에 대해서는 유의적인 부의 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타난 반면, 성별에 대해서는 유의적인 조절효과가 나타나지 않았다. 이러한 분석결과에 따르면 향후 보험회사가 암진단 담보를 제공함에 있어서 대면판매 등 판매방식과 암보험 등 보험상품 종류 등을 보험료 산출요소로 반영하거나 보험상품별 인수기준 차별화를 통해 리스크를 관리할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of independent variables, which influence the occurrence rate of cancer diagnosis, using actual policies data and insurance claims data. This paper also focused on whether cancer product has moderating effects on occurrence rate of cancer diagnosis compared with other insurance products. The result of logistic analysis shows that independent variables such as gender, age, company class, sales channel and product type influence the occurrence rate of cancer diagnosis. The result of hierarchical logistic model to analyze moderating effects of cancer product shows that cancer product has positive moderating effects on the independent variables such as age and sales channel, negative moderating effects on company class, but no moderating effect on gender. According to these results, insurance companies which want to provide cancer diagnostic coverages may consider sales channel and product type as pricing components or differentiate risk underwriting standards depending on product type.
