혁신인증 중소기업과 일반 중소기업의 재무성과 비교․분석

국문 초록

혁신인증 중소기업과 일반 중소기업의 2016년~2020년 재무성과를 성장성(매출액 증가율), 수익성(영업이익률), 안정성(부채비율)의 관점에서 비교․분석하였다. 한국표준산업분류, 업력, 고용인원, 자산 및 자본 규모, 매출액 및 영업이익을기반으로 성향점수매칭을 통해 기술혁신형 중소기업(벤처인증, 이노비즈인증)과 경영혁신형 중소기업(메인비즈인증)의 비교 대상기업인 일반 중소기업을 각각 선별한 후 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과 최소 5년 간 혁신성을 유지한 혁신인증 중소기업은 일반 중소기업 대비 높은 수준의 성장성과 제한된 범위 내에서 우수한 수익성을 달성하고 있다는 결론을 도출하였다. 또한 기술혁신형 중소기업과 경영혁신형 중소기업은 산업별 구성에 근본적인 차이가 있어 혁신인증 제도의 통⋅폐합보다는 재인증 프로세스의 강화 등을 통한 기존 제도의 보완이 혁신인증 제도의 취지를 극대화할 수 있는 방안이라고판단된다.

영문 초록

The financial performance of innovation-certified SMEs and general SMEs was compared and analyzed for the period 2016-2020. General SMEs, which are the target companies for comparison between technology innovation-type SMEs (venture certification, inno-biz certification) and management innovation-type SMEs (main-biz certification), were selected through propensity score matching. The results of the analysis indicated that innovation-certified SMEs that have been innovative for at least five years achieve higher levels of growth than general SMEs and excellent profitability within a limited range. In addition, there is a fundamental difference in the composition of technology innovation-type SMEs and management innovation-type SMEs by industry. Hence, rather than integrating and closing the innovation certification system, supplementing the existing system by strengthening the re-certification process is a way to maximize the purpose of the innovation certification system.
