국문 초록

한국교회 기독교교육 발전에 교단 교육부의 책임과 역할이 중요하다. 이 연구에서 한국 장로교 4개 교단(예장고신, 예장통합, 예장합동, 기장)과 감리교, 성결교, 침례교 등 일곱 교단 교육부의 교육정책과 수행을 비교, 연구하였는데, 이들 교단은 숫적으로 한국교회의 80%를 차지하고 있다. 이 비교연구를 통해 한국 기독교 교단교육의 특성을 교재 발간과 교사양성 등 기본사역에 충실, 중요사역으로서의 교사양성, 교육과 출판의 병행 혹은 분리, 그리고 교단의 필요에 따라 다양한 유관기관 행정 업무 보조를 함께하고 있음을 발견하였다. 이 연구에서는 각 교단의 교육정책과 수행을 SWOT분석기법에 따라 강점, 약점, 기회, 위협 요소를 분석하였다. 연구자는 이러한 연구를 기초로 각 교단에는 교육부(국)의 전문성 강화하고, 교재출판에서 나오는 수익을 교육에 재투자할 것과, 교단중심의 교회교육 구조를 교단연합으로 변경할 것을 제안하였고, 한국기독교교육학계에는 교수와 교육전문가들의 교연 협력과 연대 및 교회교육 현장 기반의 실무형 인재 양성을 제안하였으며, 교육전문가들에게는 교회교육 실천가로서 전문가적 소양을 함양하고, 교육부 정책 담당자들의 소통과 교류를 개선방안으로 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Accountability and roles of departments of denominational education are important in developing Christian education in Korean church. The purpose of this study is to compare the educational policies and performance of the denominational education departments of the seven denominations, including four major Presbyterian Churches(Presbyterian Kosin, Tonghap, Hapdong, and Kijang), Korean Methodist Church, Holiness church, and Baptist church, denominations that occupy 80% of Korean church in number. The researcher in this comparative study identified that the characteristics of the denominational education in Korean church were faithfulness to basic ministry such as publishing Sunday school textbooks and cultivating teachers as a main ministry, integration or separation of education and publication, and conducting various administrative work assistance based on the needs of denominations. This study analyzed the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of educational policies and performances of each denomination, using the SWOT analysis process. Based on the results of this study, the researcher presented as follows: for each denomination, intensifying professionalism of education department, reinvesting profits from publishing textbooks to education, and converting the structure of church education centered on denomination into the one centered on denominations’ association; for the academic societies of Korean Christian education, cooperation and alliance between professors and educational experts and cultivating practically capable people based on educational church fields; and for educational experts, developing professional knowledge as practitioners of church education and selecting improvements of communication and exchange with those who are responsible for policies in education departments.
