영문 초록

China and South Korea have agreed to sign a free trade agreement that aims to remove most trade barriers between the countries. This paper will expect the potential trade effects and analyze major issues of the China-South Korea FTA. This joint agreement can be considered positive as the deal will give the GDP of the both countries a huge boost, and from the perspective of consumers, they will benefit from tariff reduction and fierce competition therefore their whole welfare will be increased greatly. Another reason supporting the China-South Korea FTA is that this agreement will enhance the market share of each other's firms, which will eventually strengthen the economic and cultural ties between the two countries. Domestically it will accelerate the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure as well. The China-South Korea FTA will not only bring huge opportunities but also enormous challenges. Major issues should be considered during the process. The serious challenges include the imbalance of good distribution such as agricultural sector and manufacture sector, potential over-expansion problem in servicing part, and the existence of non-tariff barriers.
