영문 초록

The aim of this research is to evaluate which activity for self-directed learning is seen by a low level of learners as the most favored, the most effective and the most challenging with in improving four language skills in English. The present study examines logs of learning and evaluation responses on a survey by Korean EFL learners. The results show that log writing was performed by the most participants and that reading aloud was evaluated as the most effective activity for improving listening; checking sense units on reading; vocabulary learning on speaking and writing. For the most challenging activity to continue, note-taking for grammar learning was marked top. Instructors and researchers may incorporate these insights into their work. (118 words)
