영문 초록

The present study was conducted to search a possibility as an environment-friendly agent for antimacrobial activity of green tea and anti-disease improvement on cultured fishes. In the total catechin percentage of the green tea fractions, neutral fraction was highest (415.4 ± 9.5 μg/100 μL, 49.6%), and followed to ethanol extract (346.9 ± 12.7μg/100 μL, 41.4%), acidic fraction (75.0 μg/100 μL, 9.0%) in order. Based on the antimicrobial assay, the neutral fraction exhibited higher antimicrobial activity at the concentration of 1000 ppm (55.4%) to 2000 ppm (84.2%) than those of ethanol fraction (48.2%) and acidic fraction (less than 20%) at 2000 ppm. Furthermore, antimicrobial effect was examined by scanning electron micrograph showing that neutral fraction of green tea extract could lead to cell membrane breakdown on S. iniae. In the present results, it is expected that green tea is available for developing an environment-friendly agent on food poisoning prevention and fish disease treatment.
