국문 초록

본 연구에서는 도시 관점에서 문화예술교육을 담론화하면서 도시문화예술교육이라는 개념을 학계에서는 처음 도입하고 있으며 문화예술교육을 개인적 차원이 아닌 도시의 관점에서 중요하게 여기고 심도있게 분석하고자 한다. 문화예술교육은 시민들의 문화학습권, 창조적 인력양성, 지역공동체성을 촉진하고 매개하는 중요한 정책수단이자 지역의 전략이며 또한 문화도시와 학습도시, 창조도시 담론의 핵심가치를 관통하는 중요한 전략이기도 하다. 문화예술교육은 시민들이 문화예술을 수동적으로 향유하는 것을 넘어서 능동적으로 참여할 수 있는 능력을 기르고 환경을 조성하는 문화역량의 강화를 목적으로 하므로 개인과 조직, 지역 전체를 아우르며 문화예술적 가치를 지역의 문제를 창조적으로 해결하는데 활용할 수 있다. 이러한 맥락에서 문화예술교육은 도시속의 삶의 질과 도시의 경쟁력을 함께 추구하는 도시담론과 밀접하게 연결된다. 문화예술교육을 통한 시민문화·조직문화의 생성과 문화역량에 기반을 둔 시민·전문가의 성장 및 육성은 성공적인 도시의 조건이다. 도시와 미학, 그리고 학습과의 연관성을 언급한 발터 벤야민과 문화적 기억과 도시·공간적 학습의 가능성을 제시한 알라이다 아스만과 같은 인문학자의 연구들은 지금까지 경제학, 정치학, 도시공학, 문화연구, 교육학 등의 여러 학문분야에서 도시정책의 통합적 연구를 위한 학술적 연계, 도시정책과 관련된 문화예술교육 담론의 체계적 연구의 필요성에 대한 시사점을 제공한다.

영문 초록

This study firstly introduces the concept of urban culture and arts education to academic world during the discourse on culture and arts education from an urban perspective, puts a high value on the study on culture and arts education from an urban perspective, not an individual perspective and intends to analyze it deeply. Culture and arts education is an important policy mean and regional strategy which promotes and mediates civic right to learn culture, cultivation of creative manpower and regional community spirit and important strategy which penetrates core value of the discourse on cultural city, learning city and creative city. The purposes of culture and arts are that citizens can cultivate an ability to participate in culture and art education actively and strengthen their cultural capability to create the environment beyond their passive enjoyment of culture and art, so it can be utilized to solve cultural and artistic value and regional problem creatively by straddling individuals, organizations and the whole region. In this context, cultural and artistic education is closely related to the discourse on the city, which pursues quality of urban life and urban competitiveness together. Creation of civic culture·organizational culture by culture and art education and growth and cultivation of citizens·experts based on the cultural capability are conditions of successful city. The researches of humanities scholars such as W. Benjamin who mentioned the relationship among the city, aesthetics and learning and A. Assmann who suggested a possibility of cultural memory and urban learning have provided implications about academic connection for urban policy’s integrated study and necessity of systematic study of the discourse on culture and art education related to urban policy in several disciplines such as Economics, Politics, Civil engineering, Cultural studies, Pedagogy, etc. until now.
