남부지역 적응 조숙 다수 조사료용 월동귀리 신품종 ‘조풍’

국문 초록

‘조풍’은 농업적 특성과 조사료 생산성이 우수하여 도입귀리를 대체할 수 있는 남부지방 적응 추파용 우량품종을 육성할 목적으로 1999년에 조숙이면서 종실이 대립인 ‘아리80’에 대립종인 ‘귀리23호’를 교배한 F 1 잡종을 모본으로 하고, 내한 성인 미국 도입종 ‘Walken’를 부본으로 온실에서 인공교배하여 집단 및 계통육종법에 의해 계통을 선발한 후 2004년부터 생산력검정시험 및 지역적응시험을 거쳐 2009년에 육성된 품종으로써 주요 특성은 다음과 같다. 1. ‘조풍’은 잎폭이 좁고, 이삭형은 산수형이며, 종자색은 황갈색이다. 2. ‘조풍’은 출수기가 평균 4월 30일이었으며, 생초수량은 ha당 평균 59.9톤, 건물수량이 평균 17.3톤으로써 도입종인 ‘스완’보다 각각 19%, 27% 많았다. 3. ‘조풍’의 조사료 품질은 조단백질 함량이 7.1%, TDN 함량이 58.3%로 대비품종인 ‘스완’과 대등하였다.

영문 초록

‘Jopung’ (Avena sativa L.), a winter oat for forage use, was developed by the breeding team at the Department of Rice and Winter Cereal Crop, NICS, RDA in 2009. It was derived from an original cross between the F 1 hybrid of ‘Early80’ and ‘PA202-210-S’ and ‘Walken’ in 1999. Subsequent generations followed by the cross were handled in bulk and pedigree selection programs at Suwon and Yeoncheon, respectively. A line, ‘SO99006-B-YB-29-Y1’, was selected for earliness and good agronomic characteristics and designated as a line name of ‘Gwiri65’. The line ‘Gwiri65’ was subsequently evaluated for ear-liness and forage yield in four different locations, Yesan, Iksan, Kimjae, and Jeju, from 2007 to 2009 and finally named as ‘Jopung’. Over 3 years, the average forage dry matter yield of cultivar ‘Jopung’ harvested at milk-ripe stage was 17.3 MT ha-1, compared with 13.6 MT ha-1 of check cultivar ‘Swan’. The silage quality of ‘Jopung’ was superior to the check cultivar ‘Swan’ in crude protein content, and was similar to the check cultivar in percent total digestible nutrients (TDN). Cultivar ‘Jopung’ is suitable primarily for winter planting in the southern regions of Korean peninsula.
