영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of nurses’ identification on nursing student’s perception towards professionalism in nursing. Methods: A convenience sample of 336 subjects was recruited from two nursing schools. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 program. Results: The mean score of nurse’s image, image of nurses in mass media and nursing professionalism were 3.93, 3.75 and 3.81, respectively. Nursing professionalism showed positive correlation with image of nurse and image of nurses in mass media. Factors that affect nursing professionalism include image of nurses, image of nurses in mass media and dissatisfaction in the chosen course. The explanation power of nursing professionalism was 68.5%. Conclusion: Therefore, it is necessary to develop an effective intervention program to improve nursing student’s satisfaction in their chosen course and positive nurses’ image.
