영문 초록

This article aims at learning the purpose of compilation of Gogeumgagokand contemplating the originality of works in the book. The purpose can be foundout from clues in editor’s Sijoes. Gogeumgagok was not edited for public causes like other many anthologies. According to works in the anthology, it was edited for the pleasure of his old age after 70. Enjoying poems for one’s pleasure is found out in individual anthology. However, this anthology differs from other general individual anthologies in terms of kinds of works in it. In other words, the anthology collects all kinds of poems that could be sung in that time. Therefore, this anthology has a significant meaning in showing there was a new trend of editing anthologies that incorporates individual anthology with other anthologies. The compilation purpose of the individual pleasure is revealed in the originality of works in the anthology. Gogeumgagok is divided into volume one and volume two. Volume one begins with Ackbusi of China, and Goachesi, Sijosipyeonpyeonga, and Jangafollows it. This is not usual structure. Meanwhile, when we see “Gogeum” in the title, we can see that ‘Go-old’ means Ackbusi of China, and the rest of title means ‘Geum-now.’ Hence, it means that volume one gathers all songs of the past and that time. Volume two includes editor’s favorite Sijo in that time, following Janga in volume one. Sijo are arranged as Dangaisipmok, Manhoeingchungryu, and editor’s own poem. We should notice that the preference of Sadaebu, liking Jungdaeyup, is revealed in this arrange of Sijo. In addition, the editor extended his own works as distinguished from other works. Therefore, we can see that the purpose of the compilation is closely related with the identity of the arrangement of works.
