영문 초록

This paper was written to review that the structure of the infinitive. The infinitive is a verb form found in the English language as a noun without inflection or is used with an auxilary verb that names the action or state without a specific subject, or tense, etc. i.e : To live is not merely to make money. I found it easy to learn Korean. It is the form of a verb that can be used after other verbs and with to before, and, it. The infinitive is divided into "RootfBaser-infinitive" and "To-infini¬tive". It can be used as a noun, an adjective or an advesb. i.e : To know all is to forgive all. To see is to believe. We are to meet here at five. He has many friends to advise him. I am sorry to trouble you. To hear him speak English, you took him for an American. I heard her sing "Home, sweet home." I have my brother wash my car. A wealth of illustrations provides a pleasant and effective way of intro-ducing the infinitive. The purpese of studying the infinitive is to understand proper English Grammar.
