영문 초록

Since Bernhard Duhm, an influential scholar, whose commentary on the Book of isaiah was published in 1892, the Book has been segregated into three independent books. His hypothesis has been influential in the scholarly world and in particular has dominated Isaiah studies. On the other hand, many conservative scholars have been reluctant to accommodate the notion of three Isaiahs. Rather they have sought to read the book of Isaiah as a whole by clinging to a single authorship. It is interesting, however, that more recently some evangelical scholars such as Gordon McConville, Raymond Dillard & Tremper Longman III and John Goldingay have sympathized with the notion of three Isaiahs or two Isaiahs. On the contrary, many conservative interpreters including John Oswalt, Barry Webb and Palmer Robertson are committed to a single authorship. This article seeks to show the difference between the two groups who focus on Isaiah's authorship issues and articulate the main points of them.
