음성위생법 그룹교육의 유효성에 관한 연구

국문 초록

음성위생법이란 과기능적인(hyperfunctional) 음성사용 또는 과도한 근긴장(muscletension)을 감소시키거나 제거함으로써 음성의 개선 및 건강한 음성유지를 도모하기 위한 간접적 음성치료 방법으로, 임상에서 음성환자의 치료시 개별적으로 적용되고 있다. 그러나 많은 전문음성사용 직업인들은 잠재적 음성문제에 노출되어 있음에도 불구하고 음성관리의 중요성이나 구체적인 음성관리 방법에 대해 제대로 알고 있지 못한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 임상이 아닌 곳에서 그룹을 대상으로 한 음성위생법 교육의 유효성을 검증하기 위해, 음성문제의 고위험집단 중 하나인 중등교사를, 음성위생법 교육을 받는 실험집단(10명)과 받지 않는 통제집단(10명)으로 나누어 교육 실시 전과 실시 6주 후에 음성분석(RAP, PPQ, APQ)과 음성피로의 빈도 및 정도에 대한 자가평가를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 통제집단의 경우, 교육 전후의 음성분석 측정치 및 음성피로의 자가평가에서 유의한 차이가 없었으나, 실험집단에서는 두 가지 평가에서 모두 유의한 차이를 나타내었다. 이러한 연구결과는 음성 위생법의 그룹교육이 교사들의 음성유지 및 개선을 도모할 수 있는 효과적인 방법이 될 수 있음을 시사하고 있으며, 전문음성사용 직업인을 대상으로 한 적극적인 음성위생법 교육의 필요성을 제시해주고 있다.

영문 초록

Vocal hygiene education is an indirect treatment approach in order to maintain and improve the vocal health by educating the avoidance of vocal hyperfunction or too much muscular contraction of the laryngeal system. However , the education has been offered individually to people with voice problems in the clinical setting, but not to many professional voice user s who have not recognized the importance of vocal health and learned the methods of vocal management . Therefore, the current study aimed to experimentally examine the treatment efficacy of group vocal hygiene education for middle school teacher s. For this purpose, the study compared the voices of experimental group (N=10) who received the education and control group (N=10) who did not by using three acoustical parameter s (RAP, PPQ, APQ) and self- evaluation of vocal fatigue. Voice samples for the acoustic analysis were collected just before education and 6 weeks later. The experimental group showed statistically significant voice improvement in all the acoustical parameter s and self evaluation after 6 weeks. However , the control group' s voice quality got wor se after 6 weeks. The result s suggest that group vocal hygiene education can be an effective way to maintain and improve the vocal health of other professional voice user s as well as teachers.
