여성장애인의 임신·출산·육아와 사회적 지원

국문 초록

본 연구는 여성장애인의 임신·출산·육아의 부담과 이러한 부담에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 사회적 지원을 연구함으로써 여성장애인들의 여성장애인의 임신·출산·육아 부담을 경감시킬 수 있는 사회복지적 서비스를 모색하는 것에 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해서 서울과 경기지역에 거주하는 여성장애인의 임신·출산·육아의 험이 있는 15명의 여성장애인을 장애 종류 및 연령을 고려하여 선정, 1:1 면접에 의한 사례연구를 실시하였다. 조사 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여성장애인은 여성장애인의 임신·출산·육아의 모든 영역에서 큰 부담을 경험하고 있었다. 특히 여성장애인은 자녀양육, 출산비 등 의료비, 가사일 등에 가장 부담을 경험하고 있었다. 또한 경험하는 부담들은 장애의 종류나 정도 그리고 자녀의 연령에 따라 매우 달라 이러한 요인들을 고려한 서비스 개발이 요구된다. 둘째, 여성장애인은 임신, 출산, 육아을 혼자서 감당해야 하거나 가족이나 남편 등의 비공식적 사회적 지원을 많이 받고 있었으며, 반면 사회복지기관 및 관련 전문가에 의하여 제공되는 공식적 지원은 매우 미약하였다. 공식적 지원이 미약한 이유로 정보부재, 프로그램의 부족, 절차의 까다로움을 지적하고 있었다. 섯째, 사회적 지원이 풍부한 여성장애인의 경우 여성장애인의 임신·출산·육아 관련 스트레스와 부담이 적은 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of social support system and social welfare programs and services in reducing the burden on women with disabilities during pregnancy, childbirth and parenting. The results of this study are based on the of face to fact examinations of 15 subjects in the area of Seoul and Gyeonggi. The subjects were women in different ages and various types of disabilities who have experienced pregnancy, childbirth and parenting. The examiners were well informed of the objective of this study. The results of this study are as follows. firstly, it appears that women with disabilities had undergone an exceeding greater difficulties, especially in medical expenses and household chores involving child support. Therefore it is necessary to develop social welfare services and programs which help women with disabilities according to carious types of disabilities and their children's ages. Secondly, it is shown from the research that women with disabilities had few or no experiences of social welfare organization programs. One of the biggest reasons of not trying to get a help from social welfare organizations was that they were not aware of the information about the social welfare programs. And the procedure seemed too complicated to get a proper service. Women with disabilities, on the other hand, cold get access to the informal social support from their husbands and families. Thirdly, women with disabilities who were connected wit social welfare organizations had more empowerment than ones who had no connection with them.
