국문 초록

본 연구는 경기변동이 소득 및 소비지출 불평등에 미치는 동태적 파급효과와 요인분해 및 계층별 소득 및 소비지출 변화의 민감도를 분석함으로써 경기변동의 충격과 소득 및 소비지출 불평등 간의 동태적인 연관성을 규명하는데 초점을 두었다. 『도시가계연보』상의 소득 및 소비지출 자료와 실질GDP를 이용하여 HP필터링한 후, ① 경기변동과 소득 및 소비지출 불평등도 사이의 구조적 변화를 점검하고, ② 경기변동 충격이 소득 및 소비지출 불평등에 미친 동태적 충격반응효과를 분석하며, ③ 경기변동 충격에 대한 소득 및 소비지출 불평등도의 민감도와 요인을 분해하였다.

영문 초록

This work investigates the dynamic effects of business cycle on inequalities of income and expenditures in Korea. Our analysis puts focus on the structural relation between business cycle and inequalities, the impulse response of inequalities to real shock from business cycle, and the effect of economic fluctuation on changes in income across income classes. Main results discovered in this paper are abstracted are: (ⅰ) there has been structural change in the first quarter of 1998 between business cycle and income distribution, (ⅱ) before the economic crisis, the positive economic shock has improved income distribution after 2 quarters, but it has deteriorated income distribution after the economic crisis, (ⅲ) changes in income distribution pre-economic crisis and post economic crisis is respectively explained by 4-8% and 1.5-2% through business cycle, and (ⅳ) in income sensitivity, the sixth income decile has been most sensitive to economic fluctuations. The speed of changes in income by business cycle has been lowest in the fourth income decile.
