국문 초록
연구목적 본 연구의 목적은 저경력 특수교사의 스트레스 및 소진 현상을 이해하고, 저경력 특수교사의 스트레스 및 소진 예방을 위한 정책적 기초 정보를 제공하는 것이다.
연구방법 본 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 초·중·고등학교 과정 특수학교 및 특수학급에 근무하는 5년 이하경력의 초·중등 저경력 특수교사 10명을 대상으로 심층 면담을 실시하였다.임 척도는 신뢰롭고 타당한 것으로확인되었다.
연구 결과 첫째, 저경력 특수교사의 스트레스 및 소진에 영향을 미치는 요인은 과도한 업무, 특수교사 직무에대한 버거움, 자신의 노력에 대한 낮은 보상, 다루기 어려운 학생과 부모, 마음의 상처를 주는 자신의 동료들, 자신의 노력으로 바꾸기 어려운 학교 내·외부 현실인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 저경력 특수교사의 스트레스 및 소진 양상은 몸과 마음의 고통, 경력에 대한 고민인 것으로 나타났다.
결론 본 연구는 저경력과 특수교사라는 이중의 어려움을 가진 학교 내 교사들의 목소리를 연구에 반영하여 그들이 겪고 있는 스트레스 및 소진 현상에 대한 깊이 있는 이해를 시도하였다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.
영문 초록
Purpose The purpose of this study was to understand the stress and burnout phenomena of low-career special education teachers and to provide basic policy information for preventing stress and burnout among low-career special education teachers.
Method To achieve the purpose of this study, in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 elementary, middle, and high school special education teachers with less than 5 years of experience working in special schools and special classes at elementary, middle, and high schools.
Results First, factors influencing stress and burnout among low-career special education teachers were found to include excessive workload, the burden of the special education duties, low compensation, students and parents who are difficult to cope with, colleagues who hurt them, and realities within and outside the school that are difficult to change through personal effort. Second, the stress and burnout patterns of low-career special education teachers were found to be physical and mental pain along with concerns about their careers.
Conclusion This study is significant in that it reflects the voices of teachers within schools who face the dual challenges of being new to the career and also special education teachers, thereby attempting to gain a deeper understanding of the stress and burnout they experience.
