생태시민성 함양을 위한 스마트기기 활용 생태전환교육 실행연구 - 중학교 자유학기제 주제선택 수업을 중심으로

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 중학교 자유학기 주제선택 수업에서 생태시민성 함양을 위한 스마트기기 활용 생태전환교육 수업안을 계획하여 실행하고, 성찰 및 개선하는 과정이 학습자들의 생태시민성 함양에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 밝히고자 하였다. 수업 도구 중의 하나로서 스마트기기를 활용함으로써 스마트기기가 생태시민성 함양을 위한 생태전환교육 실행 과정의 수업 도구로서 어떤 역할을 할 수 있는지 살펴보았다. 연구방법: 실행연구 방법에 기반하여 2023년 A중학교 1학년 학습자 20명을 대상으로 1, 2차 수업을 실행하고 2024년 A중학교 1학년 학습자 18명을 대상으로 3차 수업을 실행하였으며, 문헌 연구, 면담, 설문 분석을 진행하였다. 연구결과: 첫 번째 연구 문제인 생태시민성 함양을 위한 스마트기기 활용 주제선택 수업안은 주제별로 총 6회, 12차시로 구성하여 진행하였다. 두 번째 연구 문제인 생태시민성 함양에 미치는 영향으로는 지식과 이해, 덕성, 책임과 관계성, 지속가능성, 참여 영역 전반에 걸쳐 생태 문제에 대한 관심 정도, 경험 및 실천 의지 변화 등이 나타났다. 세 번째 연구 문제와 관련하여 스마트기기 활용은 관심 및 참여도 향상, 다양한 표현, 폭넓은 정보 제공, 공유 경로의 다양성, 작품 보관, 종이 절약 등의 면에서 의미가 있음을 확인하였다. 결론: 본 연구 과정을 통해 생태전환교육에서 생태시민성 함양이 중요하며 생태시민성을 구성하는 요소 간 긴밀한 연계성이 존재한다는 점을 확인할 수 있다. 또한 생태전환교육에서 스마트기기 활용의 유용성 및 부정적 측면을 감소시키는 방안, 안내자 및 협력자로서 교사의 역할을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to clarify how the process of planning, actioning, reflecting, and improving the ecological transition education plan using smart devices to foster ecological citizenship in the subject selection class of middle school free semesters affects learners' ecological citizenship. The authors tried to examine what role smart devices can play as teaching tools in the ecological transition education action process to foster ecological citizenship. Methods: Based on the action research method, the first and second classes were conducted for twenty first-year learners of A middle school in 2023, and the third class was conducted for eighteen first-year learners of A middle school in 2024. Literature reviews interviews, and questionnaire analysis were conducted. Results: The subject selection class plan using smart devices to foster ecological citizenship consisted of a total of six sessions and twelve sessions for each topic. The influence on the cultivation of ecological citizenship was knowledge and understanding, virtue, responsibility and relationship, sustainability, changes in the degree of interest in ecological issues, experience and willingness to practice across the participation areas. It was confirmed that the use of smart devices was meaningful in terms of improving interest and participation, providing various expressions, providing broad information, diversity in sharing paths, storing works, and in saving paper. Conclusion: Through this research process, it can be confirmed that fostering ecological citizenship is important in ecological transition education, and there is a close connection between the elements that make up ecological citizenship. Measures to increase the usefulness and decrease negative aspects of using smart devices, along with the role of teachers as guides and collaborators were presented.
