국문 초록

본 연구는 ‘학교로 찾아가는 진로융합 멘토링 프로그램’에 참여한 진로교육 전문가들을 심층 인터뷰하고, 이들의 진로교육 철학과 실천 전략을 분석함으로써 진로교육의 본질과 융합적 사고의 역할을 조망하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 전문가들은 진로교육을 단순한 직업 정보 제공이 아닌 ‘삶의 방향성과 정체성을 구성하는 존재론적 여정’으로 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 이들은 자신의 진로 형성 과정에서 다양한 삶의 경험을 창의적으로 연결하며 융합적 사고를 실천적으로 경험하였으며, 이를 통해 고유한 진로 정체성을 구축하였다. 셋째, 전문가들은 감정, 예술, 과학, 언어 등 복합적인 요소를 통합한 수업 전략을 통해 학생들에게 융합적 사고를 경험하게 하였다. 이들은 감각 기반 예술 활동, 일상 사물의 재해석, 감정-이론-기술을 연결한 프로젝트 수업 등을 통해 학생의 자기 이해와 창의적 진로 설계를 유도하였다. 본 연구는 진로교육이 정체성과 삶의 의미를 중심으로 재구성되어야 하며, 융합적 사고는 이러한 교육의 핵심 역량임을 강조한다. 이를 통해 향후 진로교육이 단순한 정보 제공을 넘어서 창의적 자기 설계의 교육으로 전환될 수 있는 이론적·실천적 기반을 제공한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explore the essence of career education and the role of convergent thinking by conducting in-depth interviews with experts who participated in the“Visiting Career Convergence Mentoring Program”. The findings reveal three key insights. First, the experts redefined career education not as mere information delivery or occupational guidance, but as an ontological journey for students to explore their identity and meaning in life. Second, the experts’ own career development processes involved the practical application of convergent thinking, whereby diverse life experiences were creatively synthesized to construct unique career identities. Third, the experts implemented integrative teaching practices that blended emotional, artistic, scientific, and linguistic elements, enabling students to engage in experiential and reflective learning. These included emotion-based narratives, reinterpreting everyday objects, and project-based learning that linked emotional insight with theoretical and technical understanding. The study highlights that career education must evolve into a learner-centered and identity-driven process, with convergent thinking serving as a core competency for students to navigate an uncertain and dynamic future. The findings provide theoretical and practical foundations for the qualitative transformation of career education toward creative self-design.
