Since the end of the pandemic, the youth employment rate has increased and career education for employment support at universities has been revitalized. Academia also emphasizes that research linking learning and career is effective. This means that the systematic acquisition and learning competency of major knowledge for four years is recognized as a prerequisite for the correct career choice and career decision-making. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence relationship between learning motivation, self-directed learning, and career decision-making self-efficacy, and to verify the mediating effect of self-directed learning in particular. Four universities in the tourism department in Busan were surveyed with Google's online questionnaire. The survey period is from March 31 to April 20, 2025, and 426 copies were used for the final analysis. As a result of hypothesis test, a positive influence relationship with learning motivation, self-directed learning and career decision-making self-efficacy, in particular, self-directed learning plays a role as a mediating variable between learning motivation and career decision-making self-efficacy. Finally, academic and practical implications were presented based on the results of hypothesis test.
