국문 초록
In the middle of the 16th century, when Christianity was introduced to Japan and its culture flourished, Senrikyu's Wabi-cha was all the rage. At that time, the spirit of Wabi-cha and the Christian perspective can be found in many similarities.
Missionary Vignano, who carried out the most active missionary activities in Japan, took Senrikyu's tea ceremony as a guideline for missionary work in Japan and used it as an important method of Christian missionary work.
After being baptized, Takayama Uchika, one of Sen Rikyu's disciples, played a part in incorporating the spirit of Christianity into the spirit of tea ceremony. He built a church and spread the Christian culture to the Japanese, and achieved a life of faith that was especially grafted with the tea ceremony.
It is presumed that Wabi-cha was perfected at that time by the association of Christian culture and the tea ceremony spirit by missionaries Senrikyu and Vignano and Uchika Takayama.
In particular, the Eucharist of the Catholic Mass had a considerable influence on Rikyu's Wabi-cha, and the designs and cross patterns of various types of tea utensils at that time also support this.
