국문 초록

목적: 본 연구는 생성형 AI, 특히 챗GPT를 활용한 화법 교육에서 학습자의 비판적 사고, 창의적 재구성, 협력적 상호작용, 주체적 문제 해결 능력의 변화를 탐색하고, AI-교사 협력 모델이 토론 준비와 수행에 미치는 교육적 효과를 실증적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 AI 시대 국어교육의 방향성과 학습자 주도성 강화를 위한 교수·학습 방안을 모색한다. 방법: 고등학생을 대상으로 챗GPT+교사 피드백, 챗GPT 단독, 전통 수업의 세 집단을 구성하고, 사전·사후 설문, 성찰지, 토론 전사 자료를 양적·질적으로 분석하였다. 결과: 교사 개입이 병행된 집단은 비판적 점검, 창의적 재구성, 주체적 전략 설계에서 가장 뚜렷한 향상을 보였으며, AI 자료를 자기 언어로 재구성하는 능력이 증진되었다. 결론: 챗GPT는 화법 교육에서 유의미한 보조 도구가 될 수 있으나, 교사의 중재와 학습자의 비판적 수용이 함께할 때 교육 효과가 극대화됨을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study explores the changes in students’ critical thinking, creative reconstruction, collaborative interaction, and autonomous problem- solving abilities in Korean speech education utilizing generative AI, particularly ChatGPT. It aims to empirically analyze the educational effectiveness of an AI-teacher collaboration model during the preparation and performance of debate activities. Furthermore, the study seeks to propose pedagogical strategies for enhancing learner agency in the age of AI. Methods: Three groups of high school students participated in the study: a group using ChatGPT with teacher feedback, a group using ChatGPT only, and a group receiving traditional instruction. Both quantitative and qualitative analyses were conducted based on pre- and post-surveys, reflective journals, and debate transcripts. Results: The group that received both AI support and teacher feedback showed the most significant improvement in critical evaluation, creative argument reconstruction, and strategic planning. Students’ ability to reconstruct AI-generated content in their own words also increased notably. Conclusion: While ChatGPT can serve as an effective supplementary tool in speech education, its educational impact is maximized when combined with teacher mediation and learners’ critical engagement.
