일상생활활동 교육과정과 연계한 지체중복장애학생의 구강관리 지원: 특수교사의 경험과 인식 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 지체중복장애학생의 학교 내 구강관리와 관련한 특수교사의 경험과 지원요구를 살펴보고, 2022년 개정 교육과정 ‘일상생활활동’영역 추가에 대한 특수교사의 인식을 확인하여 특수교육 환경에서의 구강관리 지원을 활성화하기 위한 실천적 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 수도권에 위치한 지체장애학교 특수교사8명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 온･오프라인의 하이브리드방식으로 개별심층인터뷰를 진행하였다. 면담으로수집된 자료를 지속적 비교분석법을 통해 결과를 분석하여 4개의 대주제 ‘1) 지체중복장애학생의 특성과 구강관리의 취약성, 2) 구강관리 실행과정에서의 한계와 교사의 실천과제, 3) 구강관리의 실행력 제고를 위한 지원체계 구축, 4) 2022 개정 교육과정과 구강관리 실행 기반 조성’와 11개의 하위주제가 도출되었다. 연구결과를토대로, 지체중복장애학생의 구강관리 지원을 위한 개별화된 구강관리 도구개발, 특수교사 및 지원인력의 정기연수와 현장 중심의 교육기회 마련, 전문 치과병원과 학교 간 정기적인 협력체계 구축 등의 구체적 지원방안을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined the experiences and support needs of special teachers related to oral care in schools of students with physical disabilities, confirmed the perception of special teachers about the addition of the 2022 revised curriculum ‘daily life activities’, and sought practical ways to activate oral care support in special educational environments. Eight special teachers from schools with physical disabilities located in the metropolitan area were selected as participants in the study; individual in-depth interviews were conducted in a hybrid online and offline manner. Four major topics and 11 sub-themes were derived by analyzing the results of the data collected from the interview through a continuous comparative analysis method. The four topics included: 1) characteristics of students with physical disabilities and vulnerability of oral care; 2) limitations in the process of implementing oral care and the teacher’s practical tasks; 3) establishing a support system to enhance the execution ability of oral care; and 4) creating a foundation for implementing the 2022 revised curriculum and oral care. Based on the research results, specific support measures were discussed, including the development of individualized oral care tools to support oral care for students with physical disabilities, regular training and field-oriented educational opportunities for special teachers and support personnel, and the establishment of a regular cooperation system between specialized dental hospitals and schools.
