국문 초록
This study primarily analyzed plans for activating the local community and regional economy using the social economy business model, with a focus on cafes, and proposed alternatives. Through this analysis, the study applied a social economy business model that can take root in the region and stimulate both the local community and the regional economy through cafes. To achieve this, the study reviewed the concept, types, and importance of the social economy, as well as previous studies related to community activation. It also broadened the scope of discussion on the development of the social economy business model centered around cafes and coffee, thereby enhancing the academic and practical contributions of the study.
In addition, the specific objectives of the study were as follows: First, to examine the concept of the social economy business areas, such as social enterprises, cooperatives, village enterprises, self-reliance enterprises, and social ventures that constitute the social economy. Second, to analyze previous studies on cafes related to the social economy business model. Third, to expand the new business areas of the coffee industry related to the development of the social economy business model centered on cafes and coffee in the future. Fourth, to provide basic data for the development of the social economy business model centered on cafes and coffee.
As a result of the study, the following findings were obtained: First, the meaning of the social economy business model centered on cafes and coffee as a public good was redefined. Second, the study provided insights for recognizing the social economy business model centered on cafes and coffee. Third, it suggested ways for cafes and coffee-centered social enterprises to actively participate in addressing social issues such as urban regeneration.
To develop a social economy business model centered on cafes and coffee, the study proposed the following strategies: First, the integration of the benefits and purposes of the social economy business model centered on cafes and coffee should be promoted. Second, adherence to the core principles of the social economy when modeling a social economy business centered on cafes and coffee is essential. Third, smooth financing and investment attraction for social economy businesses centered on cafes and coffee should be facilitated. Fourth, the role of social enterprises in expanding the influence of social economy businesses centered on cafes and coffee should be strengthened. Fifth, adaptation to the evolving environment of social entrepreneurship in social economy businesses centered on cafes and coffee is necessary.
