국문 초록
This study investigates the changes in ship maneuverability due to engine usage in harbor environments. A predictive model for ship maneuverability was developed by combining a nonlinear unsteady RANS solver with a rudder and propeller controller. To gain practical insights into how engine usage affects maneuverability, turning simulations were conducted, and the results were thoroughly examined. The analysis revealed that as engine RPM decreases, both advance and transfer tend to decrease; however, below a certain RPM threshold, no significant changes were observed in the ship's trajectory. The proposed evaluation model, which assesses the impact of engine usage on ship maneuverability, is expected to contribute to the development of autonomous ship control systems. Future work will focus on developing a comprehensive evaluation model to assess maneuverability under various environmental conditions.
