Film is a form of time that exists in a space. It is very distinguishable with other kinds of art while has a close interrelationship with them. For films, characters are critical elements that are of structure itself and lead the story of a film. Characters are closely related with personality description. Their personal backgrounds such as age, education, job and family back ground are important sources to conceptualize their personalities. The most traditional way to explain personality was finding out character's behavioral patterns and naming them or using categories that are commonly grouped to explain certain types of people's behavior. It is known that a character's personality should be consistent and manifested by behavior. Behaviors in a movie are expressed by actor or actress' movements and talking. However the characters in a movie are artificial created by other people's thoughts. Thus, constructing personality, although much time and effort were devoted, is likely to miss the aspect of personality that are mentioned above. Because of that, it is necessary to examine the consistency in a character. Personality is the one that is as critical as much influential to a person's behavior, thus the personality in a character in a movie is also very important. This study categorizes patterns of characters using the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) theory. The categorized patterns in the movie and the results of MBTI are compared and analyzed to suggest the consistency in a character which might have missed in the course of making a scenario or picturing a movie.
