Sergei Eisenstein tried to new and revolutionary cinematic paradigm in film history. He refuted Béla Balázs through so called “thesis war”. Today we can recall that event as to defining what is cinema. Eisenstein insisted that four tyrannies had to be expelled in cinema. Actor, camera, text, frame are consist of these dictators according to his theory. The declaration of Eisenstein is repeated by Peter Greenaway. He regards the conventional components as of little value. Because he thinks that new cinematic paradigm could be spring up against the obstacles of conventional concepts. Hence, we need to focus his maintenance. He has worked for 40 years through his theory as faithful activist. We believe detailed review of his theory could be show the history of revolutionary cineastes’' attempts. We missed the true nature of the problem in cinematic debate. We have overlooked the fact that cinema has been subordinated by other concepts of arts. So cinema might have waited new cinematic paradigm. We think the time has come to define authentic cinematic identity. Peter Greenaway gives some critical view point for next cinema era. New media based on multi-media unite other genres in digital century. For this reason new media will show us totally different identity of cinema.
