지적장애인의 삶의 질 연구 접근 관점 고찰

국문 초록

본 연구는 현재까지 진행되어 온 지적장애인의 삶의 질에 관한 국내외 논문을 리뷰하고 삶의 질을 바라보는 관점을 분석함으로써, 이후의 지적장애인의 삶의 질에 관한 접근관점과 연구 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해, 지적장애인의 삶의 질에 관한 국내외 논문 35편을 리뷰하고 지적장애인의 삶의 질을 바라보는 객관적, 주관적 접근 관점으로 각각 분석하였다. 그 결과, 신체적, 정서적 안녕을 보장받을 수 있는 주거환경, 스스로 근로의 권리와 의무를 누리며 임금이라는 생계유지 수단을 받는 취업, 신체적·정신적 건강과 관련한 사항들은 지적장애인들의 삶의 질의 주요 객관적 지표로 나타났다. 또한, 자기결정과 가족, 교육은 삶의 질의 주요 주관적 지표로써 매우 중요한 의미를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 향후 지적장애인의 삶의 질을 향상시킬 프로그램 및 정책 수립에 필요한 기초 자료로 사용되어질 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to suggest a basis for program and policy development to improve the quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities in the future through a paper review. This study reviews 35 pieces of paper about the quality of life of the people with intellectual disabilities and were analyzed in an objective and subjective point of view overlooking approach the quality of life of the people with intellectual disabilities. As a result, residential environment that can guarantee the physical and emotional well-being, jobs for maintaining professional potential realization and sustenance and details relating to mental health are found to be the main objective indicators of quality of life in people with intellectual disabilities. In addition, self-determination and their families, education was found to have a very important meaning to the subjective quality of life indicators. Finally, on the basis of these results it suggested the implications and research directions.
