영문 초록

This paper discusses the present condition of and development plan for the EPS-KLT. Section 2 checked out the the EPS-KLT shows the any character as ‘the Specific purpose test‘ and the development direction of the future was presented. In section 3, the present condition and improvement of EPS-KLT were looked into through the ratio of successful applicants, the score distribution, and the item analysis. Next section 4 reviews problem areas and proposes an improvement plan for the EPS-KLT in three areas: validity, reliability, and practicality. First, considering that the EPS-KLT is a test, improvements for validity include (1) development of Korean texts and test questions, (2) research about the concurrent validity verification with a pre-existing EPS-KLT, and (3) verification of the predictive validity with the labor spot. Second, reliability can be improved by (1) confirming the test system, (2) conducting a pilot test and improving the test guiding method, and (3) training the test proctors. Third, recommendations regarding practicality include (1) enlargement of the trial run region and (2) national support for the infrastructure related to the trial run. These issues address both theoretical and practical criticism about the EPS-KLT, and will be realized in the future.
