This study aims to make clear that Korean aspectual adverbs indicate inner stage of situation made by sentences and suggest the effective teaching method based on that. The aspectual adverbs function as aspectual meaning indicator by modifying specified condition of situation types implicated or unpredicted in verb phrase. The functions of aspectual adverbs are closely connected with situation types of sentence. The modificand of aspectual adverbs could change according to the situation type implicated in sentence. Therefore, understanding of the relation between situation types of sentence and aspectual adverbs is required for teaching the functional properties of aspectual adverbs to Korean language learners. Showing the aspectual meaning of aspectual adverbs and time phase of sentence through Meta-language would help them effectively understand the aspectual meaning in stage and study time information implicated in sentences.
