The purpose of the study is to examine the relationship between achievement goal and self-regulation study among students of the Korean language. Based on the questionnaire for the total of 1091 students of the Korean language, the regression analysis using the SPSS shows that there is a statistically significant relationship between achievement goal and self-regulation study. Especially it is found that master-approach achievement goals have the greatest effect on self-regulation study and, furthermore, on motivational-regulation study within self- regulation study. This suggests that the students who pursue Korean language studies for capability-enhancing purposes are apt to perform challenging tasks and then to reinforce their self-utility in their studies.
