국문 초록

본 논문은 라너의 ‘영적 주체성’ 개념을 중심으로 그의 초월론적 인간론을 논구한다. 필자의 논의는 크게 세 부분으로 진행된다. 첫째, 라너가 어떻게 근대 철학, 특히 칸트 철학의 선험적 방법을 지양하여 자신의 초월론적 인간론을 신학적으로 정초하였는지에 대해 검토한다. 둘째, 본 논문의 핵심 논지로서, 라너 신학의 초월론적 인간론은 그의 고유한 ‘영성’ 개념에 기초한 것으로 초월성, 자유, 역사성을 그 계기로 갖는 변증법적 운동으로 파악할 수 있음을 제시한다. 즉, 라너의 영적 주체성은 거룩한 신비인 하느님의 절대적 보편성을 향한 초월적이고 자유롭고 역사성을 띤 선험적 주체의 운동으로 이해될 수 있다. 마지막으로, 이러한 라너의 영적 주체성이 현재의 세계화의 맥락 속에서, 특히 ‘주체의 죽음’으로 대변되는 탈근대의 맥락 속에서 어떤 관련성과 의미를 지닐 수 있는지에 대한 필자의 소견을 간략하게 피력한다.

영문 초록

This article explores Rahner’s transcendental theological anthropology, with a special focus on his conception of “spiritual subjectivity.” This exploration proceeds in three phases. The first involves the examination of how Rahner could sublate the modern, particularly Kantian, idea of the transcendental method into his transcendental theological anthropology. The second concerns the main argument, that Rahner’s transcendental theological anthropology is characterized by his rich notion of “spirituality” of the human subject that includes the three moments of transcendence, freedom, and historicity in their dialectical relations. That is, Rahnerian spiritual subjectivity is a priori transcending, free, and historical movement toward the absolute universality of God as the holy mystery. And the third deals with my brief remarks on the relevance of Rahnerian spiritual subjectivity in the contemporary context of globalization, particularly the postmodern context of the death of the subject.
