국문 초록

본 연구는 영아보육교사들의 전문성을 향상시키기 위하여 영아보육교사를 대상으로 교사 전문성에 대한 인식과 역할에 대한 요구수준간의 관계를 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구대상은 경기도 내 시립·민간·가정어린이집 52개원의 영아보육교사 484명으로, 이들에게 영아보육교사의 전문성에 대한 인식과 역할에 대한 요구도 조사를 하였다. 2017년 9월 18일~9월 22일에 걸쳐 설문지를 배부 및 회수하였고, 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 하위요인에 따라 차이가 있었지만 민간어린이집 교사, 40대교사, 경력 1년 미만의 교사가 전문성에 대한 인식이 비교적 높았다. 둘째, 민간어린이집 교사가 역할에 대한 요구도가 비교적 높았다. 셋째, 전문성에 대한 인식과 역할에 대한 요구수준 간에는 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 영아보육교사들의 전문성 인식이 높을수록 역할에 대한 요구수준도 높아짐을 의미하는 것이라 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 현장의 영아보육교사들에게 전문성을 함양 시킬 수 있는 보다 다각적인 지원이 이루어질 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study was intended to examine the relationship between the recognition of expertise and needs for roles in early childhood care teachers with the aim of improving the expertise of early childhood care teachers. To achieve the purpose, the researcher conducted a questionnaire survey on the recognition of expertise and needs for roles in early childhood care teachers, and 484 early childhood care teachers from 52 municipal, private and home-based child care centers in Gyeonggi-do participated in this survey. The questionnaires were distributed and collected between Sep 18 and Sep 22, 2017, and the analysis results are as follows. First, private childcare center teachers, teachers in their 40s, and teachers with less than 1 years of experience had relatively high demand on their roles, although it varied by sub-factors. Second, private childcare center teachers experienced relatively high demand on role. Third, recognition of professionalism and demand on role showed positive correlation. This signifies that higher recognition of professionalism leads to higher demand on role in infant care teachers. This study implies that multidirectional supports for infant care teachers are needed to develop professionalism in them.
