성장혼합모형을 활용한 청소년의 휴대전화 의존도 변화 유형과 특성 분석

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 성장혼합모형(growth mixture model)을 활용하여 청소년의 휴대전화 의존도 변화 양상에 따른 잠재계층을 분류하고, 각 잠재계층의 특성을 파악하는 것이다. 이 연구에서는 ‘한국아동․청소년패널조사’의 중학교 1학년 패널 자료를 활용하였으며, 2차년도(2011년 중2)부터 5차년도(2014년 고2) 자료 중 결측치를 제외한 총 1,641명의 자료를 활용하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년의 휴대전화 의존도 변화 유형에 있어 차이를 보이는 3개의 이질적 계층이 존재하였다. 둘째, 각 잠재계층은 변화 유형에 따라 ‘고수준-감소’ 계층, ‘중수준-유지’ 계층, ‘저수준-증가’ 계층으로 정의되었다. 셋째, 각 잠재계층으로 분류될 확률에 영향을 미치는 개인, 부모, 또래 요인에 있어서 계층 및 시기에 따라 차이가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 휴대전화 의존도의 변화 궤적에 있어 차이를 보이는 잠재계층이 존재함을 밝히고, 또한 각 잠재계층의 특성을 이해할 수 있는 개인, 부모, 또래 요인의 탐색을 통해 시기에 따라 각 잠재계층과 유의하게 관련 있는 요인들이 달리 나타남을 밝혔다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to identify the latent classes according to the trajectories of mobile phone dependency by using the growth mixture modeling and to characterize each latent class. The four-year longitudinal data (from 2nd to 5th year) from cohort of middle school students in ‘Korean Child and Youth Panel Survey’ was used. As a result, this study explored mobile phone dependency from second year in middle school to second year in high school. The main results of this study are as follows. First, there were three latent classes that showed differences in the trajectories of mobile phone dependency among adolescents. Second, each latent class is defined as a high-level and decreasing class, middle-level and monotonous class, and low-level and increasing class depending on the change in mobile phone dependency. Third, there were differences in the individuals, parents, and peer factors influencing the probability of being classified into each latent class depending on the class and time. This study reveals that there exist latent classes that show differences in the trajectory of mobile phone dependency and also explores the factors of the individual-, parent-, and peer-level that help to understand the characteristics of each latent class.
