영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the present condition of the leisure activity spaces which enable the social activities including the rehabilitation and self-reliance of disabled people in the residents with intellectual disabilities. As a research method, we conducted field surveys and in-depth interviews with 7 managers and analyzed the problems and requirements of the space where the detailed program based on the three types; urban, suburban, and rural type. Major findings are as follows; first. facilities with more than 30 persons in the establishment and operation standard of the intellectual disability resident need to review the necessity of additional leisure activity space in addition to the group activity room. Second, as an improvement plan of leisure space according to location characteristics, in case of urban type, leisure activities using nearby community facilities need to be activated. At this time, it is necessary to utilize a part of the living room space and multipurpose utilization method of the group activity room for various activities.. In the case of suburban type, it is necessary to plan a space for cultural activities in the facility. In this case, a multi-purpose space plan is needed as a recreational activity showing the most favored preference and soundproofing ability for film viewing and being combined with other leisure activities. In the case of the rural type, it is necessary to secure a space for the intellectual disabled people and the community residents to perform cultural activities such as watching movies in the facility. When the use of the living room is necessary for leisure activity, it is needed to group the intellectual disabilities and make a space plan divided by the partition for various detailed programs.
