국문 초록

본 연구는 대학의 다양한 활동에 대한 PR효과를 계량화하고 그 효과를 측정하여 PR효과의 성과를 확인하고, 연구결과를 바탕으로 향후 PR활동에 적용할 수 있는 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 먼저 지금까지 영남대의 새마을운동 교육 · 연수 및 사업과 학문화의 노력에 대한 PR활동이 어떻게 이루어졌으며 어느 정도의 가치를 가지고 있는지를 분석하였다. 이를 통하여 영남대의 새마을교육과 학문화 노력을 국민들이 제대로 이해하고, 앞으로 이러한 노력이 좀 더 체계적이고 효율적으로 이루어질 수 있는 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 광고단가환산지수를 활용하여 사진게재 유무와 신문기사 형태의 두 가지 변수에 가중치를 부여하는 방법을 통해 PR효과 측정을 모형화하였다. 이러한 모형에 근거하여 가중치 부여방법을 다르게 적용한 네 가지 방법을 이용하여 영남대학교 새마을 교육 및 연수 사업과 관련된 신문기사 377건의 PR효과를 추정하였다. 그 결과 최소 약 22억원에서 최대 약 78억원의 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to quantify and measure the effects of PR on various activities of universities, verify the performance of PR effects in the future, and provide suggestions for the application of PR effects. This study first analyzed what PR efforts have been made regarding Yeungnam University s Saemaul Education and Training program, and theorization of Samaul Undong and how valuable they are. Through this, this study will be able to point to the way the public properly understand Yeungnam University’s efforts at Saemaul education and theorization and that these efforts can be made more systematically and efficiently. In this study, PR measure is modeled by using the Advertising Equivalent Value and weighing two parameters, i.e. the availability of a photograph and the type of newspaper article. Based on these models, effects of the PR of 377 newspaper articles related with the Saemaul Education and Training Program at Yeungnam University have been estimated by using four different methods of weighing. As a result, it has been shown that the maximum effect is about 7.8 billion won from the minimum of 2.2 billion won.
