국문 초록

본 연구는 남북한 군정기 초등교육정책을 비교 분석하기 위해서, 초등교육정책이 형성된 초등교육의 역사적 배경을 분석하고, 남북한 초등교육정책을 목적 및 이념, 학교제도, 교육과정 개정 측면에서 비교하는데 목적이 있다. 해방 후 남한과 북한은 미국과 소련에 의해 서로 다른 사회체제를 구축되고, 남북한 모두 초등교육은 일제 잔재 청산과 새로운 국가건설을 위한 국민 육성이라는 과제를 부여받게 되며, 남한의 경우 미군정에 의한 자유민주주의 교육이, 북한의 경우 소군정에 의한 사회주의 교육정책이 추진하게 된다. 남한은 민주주의 국가의 국민형성 차원에서 북한은 사회주의 국가의 국민형성 차원에서의 교육이념 및 목적을 수립한다. 남북한 모두 초등 교육을 의무화하기 위하여 학교제도와 관련하여 다양한 정책을 펼치는데, 각각 교육 재정을 확보하기 위해 노력하며 일제 시기와 다른 학제로 변경하며, 남북한 모두 일제 잔재를 청산하고 민주주의와 사회주의를 옹호할 수 있는 교육과정을 개정한다. 이러한 연구를 통해 초등교육정책을 더 총체적으로 바라볼 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to compare elementary educational policies of Army Military Government in South and North Korea after Liberation by historical background of elementary education. After liberation, South and North Korea were building up with different social systems by the United States and the Soviet Union, both Koreas were all given a challenge of national development and new construction for the liquidation of the remnants of the Japanese. Especially the South Korea was implemented a free and democratic education policy by the US military government, and in the case of North Korea, it was the socialist education policy by the Soviet Union military government. Both Koreas played a variety of policies in relation to the school system to compulsory schooling of elementary education, and each trying to secure the education budget and change the educational system different from those of Japan. And both South and North Korea should revise the curriculum in order to liquidate the remnants of the Japanese education and form a advocate for democracy and socialism. it will be able to study on a more holistic elementary educational policy through these studies.
