불확실성과 관계자본에 대한 비판적 일고찰

국문 초록

본 연구는 기존 선행연구에서 탐색해 온 불확실성 연구들을 바탕으로, 관계자본과 기업성과 간의 관계성을 탐색하였다. 특히 행위자 측면과 구조적 측면으로 구분하여 조직몰입과 관계성과를 이루어내는 특징을 탐색할 뿐 아니라, 구성주의 관점에서 행위자와 구조는 상호 보완적이라는 결론을 확인하였다. 또한 가맹점주 360명을 대상으로 획득한 설문자료를 바탕으로 실증분석 함으로써 연구가설을 증명하였다. 통계결과 첫째, 기업이 미래에 대한 불확실성을 인지하게 될 경우에 관계특유투자를 시도함과 동시에, 기회주의적 행동이 나타나는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 구조중심적 관점에서 관계특유투자는 관계규범을 통해, 행위자중심적 관점에서 기회주의적 행동은 협력적 커뮤니케이션을 통해 관계몰입으로 이어지며, 이러한 행위자와 구조적 측면은 상호 양(+)의 효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 시도는 기존의 전통적인 합리성 가정에 기초한 구조적 요소와 커뮤니케이션에 기반한 행위자적 요소를 이분법적으로 분리하려는 모습을 비판함으로써, 두 요소가 상호보완적 관계라는 점을 제고시키는데 기여할 것으로 기대한다

영문 초록

This study approaches the relationship between relational capital and the uncertainty within a firm. Following the previous studies, communication and relational norm are the preceding factors for the achieving relationship performance. Especially, those studies are suggesting mutual oppositive opinions depending on actor and structure of view. However the study concluded that actors and structures are mutually supportive from a constructivist perspective. To confirm these hypotheses, the researchers distributed questionnaires to 360 franchisees. The results are as follows: (1) The firms are doing both investment on relationship and opportunity behavior by percieved uncertainty. (2) Relationship norm from the result of relationship specific investment and collaborative communication from the result of opportunity behavior are in the positive complementary relation. This study clarifies the fault of making a discrimination on binary thinking that respects the complementary relationship between actor and structure.
