국문 초록

2005년 특수교육진흥법이 일부 개정되면서 건강장애 학생들이 특수교육 대상자에 포함되었다. 이를 통하여 건강장애 학생들을 지원할 수 있는 서비스 프로그램들이 많이 생겨났으나, 근래 여러 연구들을 통해 도출된 문제점에 대한 근본적인 해결책은 크게 없는 형편이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존의 건강장애 학생들의 지원 서비스의 문제점을 보완할 수 있는 로봇을 활용한 새로운 형태의 교육지원 시스템을 제안한다. 이 시스템은 무선 네트워크 통신을 활용하여 대상자의 개인 컴퓨터와 학교에 미리 비치되어 있는 로봇 간의 쌍방향 통신을 통하여 여러 데이터의 통신이 가능하도록 구현되었다. 대상자는 원격지의 로봇으로부터 오는 영상 및 음성 데이터를 통해 로봇 주변 환경의 상태를 파악할 수 있으며, 이러한 데이터를 근거로 대상자의 자의적인 판단 하에 로봇을 움직여 학교 내의 활동인 수업에 참석할 수 있으며, 쉬는 시간 중에는 또래와의 상호소통도 가능하도록 구성하였다. 향후 본 연구에서 제안되는 시스템을 활용한다면 그들의 교육의 질적 측면에서 큰 기여를 할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

According to the revision of act on the Promotion of Education for the Handicapped in March 2005, children with health impairments were included in Article 10-Students who Need Special Education in Enforcement Ordinance. Consequently, many support programs for student with health impairments were investigated but this support programs have a lot of troubles and there is not many solutions at present. Thus, in this study we propose a support system using a remote robot that is able to compensate the defect. This system compose of a wireless network communication with the user’s personal computer and a remote robot which makes it possible to communicate. Client can confirm the data type of video, voice and keyboard from a remote robot and control it by themselves. Using the system, they can participate in school class and interact with peers on break time. In the future, this system is expected to give more opportunities for integrated education and community involvement.
