The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of parent's socio-economic status, child rearing attitude, and teacher's supporting on school adaptation of elementary school students. Data was collected from 4-6th graders in Yongin, Cheonan, Cheongju, Nonsan, and Dangjin areas. Total sample size was 302. The major findings were as follows: First, upper-middle class student's school adaptation on teachers were negatively influenced by father's authoritative attitude and mother's non-intervention attitude, and positively influenced by teacher's interest and mother's democratic attitude. Lower-middle class student's school adaptation on teachers were influenced by father's democratic attitude and teacher's interest. Upper-middle class student's school adaptation on friend relationships were negatively influenced by father's authoritative attitude, and positively influenced by mother's democratic attitude and teacher's interest. Lower-middle class student's school adaptation on friend relationships were positively influenced by father's democratic attitude, mother's non-intervention attitude, and teacher's interest. Upper-middle class student's school adaptation on classes were negatively influenced by father's authoritative attitude and mother's non-intervention attitude, and positively influenced by mother's democratic attitude and teacher's interest. Lower-middle class student's school adaptation on classes were positively influenced by mother's non-intervention attitude and teacher's interest. Upper-middle class student's school adaptation on rules were negatively influenced by mother's authoritative attitude and mother's non-intervention attitude, and positively influenced by teacher's interest. Lower-middle class student's school adaptation on rules were negatively influenced by father's authoritative attitude, and positively influenced by teacher's interest. In conclusion, school adaptation is significantly influenced by socio-economic status of parents, rearing attitude of parents, and teacher's supporting. It also turned out that teacher's supporting is more important than rearing attitude of parents in terms of the overall influences on school adaptation of elementary school students.
