The article consists of three parts: the ecumenical and evangelistic activities of John Mott in the colonial eras, his leadership for the WMC 1910, and the missiological legacies of John Mott. Mott was a son of the times, particularly the colonial and imperial eras of the 19th and 20th centuries. Mott had driven the evangelization movement to the non-Christian world in the form of the colonial conqueror. His energetic mission mind was formed with the optimistic spirit prevailing the times. Based on the above conditions, Mott promoted the ecumenical movements for Christian mission and evangelization. In conclusion the ecumenical evangelization of John Mott can be discussed in the mission strategy dimension for the Korean Churches.
