여고생이 지각한 교사 - 학생 관계와 교과 성적 및 학교교육만족도의 인과관계 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 학교 교육의 중요한 변인이라 할 수 있는 ‘학생이 지각한 교사-학생 관계’와 ‘교과 성적’ 및 ‘학교교육만족도’의 인과관계를 분석한 것이다. 이를 위해 선행연구 분석등을 통해 주요 배경변인이라 할 수 있는 ‘부모의 사회경제적 지위(SES)’와 ‘사교육’을 포함하여 학생이 지각한 교사-학생 관계와 교과 성적 및 학교교육만족도 변인들 간의 인과모형을 설정하고, 서울 소재 여자고등학교 1학년 403명을 대상으로 관련 자료를 수집하였다. 구조방정식모형을 활용하여 수집한 자료를 통계적으로 분석한 결과 사전에 설정한인과모형은 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 세부적으로 SES는 사교육에 영향을 미치고 사교육은 교과 성적에 유의한 영향을 미치나, SES와 사교육 모두 교사-학생 관계에는 유의한영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 아울러 교사-학생 관계는 교과 성적과 학교교육만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치나, 교과 성적은 학교교육만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났다

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate a structural equation model of the causal relationship among ‘teacher-student relationship’, ‘academic achievement’, and ‘satisfaction for school education’ that are major variables in school education. Data for this study were drawn from 403 students in 11 classrooms at H girls' high school in Korea. Three structural equation models for three subject-matters (Korean, mathematics, and English) are suitable for the data. Models show that ‘socioeconomic status’ affects ‘private tutoring’, and ‘private tutoring’ affects ‘academic achievement’ positively (p<.001). ‘Socioeconomic status’ and ‘private tutoring’, however, are not significantly related to ‘teacher-student relationship’. ‘Teacher-student relationship’ could explain a reliable amount of ‘academic achievement’ and ‘satisfaction for school education’. It is also found that ‘academic achievement’ do not affect ‘satisfaction for school education’.
