This article discussed a theoretical base to appreciate works of visual arts in the perspective of educational epistemology.
The visual images, envisaged as an instrument of learning possess several positive aspects in the educational aims and methods. The art image wakes the consciousness of the spectator in the scope of self control. The Activities to appreciate works of visual arts develop all the affective and cognitive learning that art education seemingly menace. Therefore, it necessitates the visual literacy in art education. They correspond to develop the attention to understand visual messages, to receive them socio-historically and to use them meaningfully.
